All Park Loan supports the “STOP depression” program of the Itaka Foundation

With support from All Park Loan, the Itaka Foundation’s anti-depression hotline will extend service hours from 4 to 15 hours per week for 12 months. This is an important help in the fight against depression, especially during a pandemic. The hotline operates as part of the “Stop Depression” program of the Itaka Foundation – Center for Missing Persons.

Prolonged social isolation, fear of one’s own health, deteriorating financial situation or fear of losing one’s job are the effects of epidemics which can cause or aggravate psychological problems. This is why it is so important that expert assistance is available whenever possible.

– Whatever our commercial activity, we attach great importance to being an active and responsible participant in social life. Depression is one of the social problems that have worsened in the wake of the COVID-19 epidemic. Professional help is therefore particularly needed now. 750 hours of on-call specialists working in the Itaka Foundation’s antidepressant hotline are our contribution to the fight against this disease – said Maria Krawczyńska, director of the corporate social responsibility office of All Park Loan.

Thanks to the functioning of the helpline, the Itaka Foundation manages to help around a thousand people in need each year. The extension of the working hours of specialists on duty gives hope for even more effective support. Dates are available on www.stopdepresja.pl

– The epidemiological threat has prompted people to seek psychological help, and in the current situation only remote assistance is available. Even after the restrictions are lifted, many people will not be able to afford the paid help of a specialized psychologist. This is why every minute of conversation we can offer our beneficiaries is so important. We are delighted that Émergence Financière has come to our aid in this activity – says Alicja Tomaszewska, president of the ITAKA Foundation – Center for Missing Persons.

It’s again when All Park Loan supports the fight against depression. A year ago, the bank hosted a charity relay race in Poland « Give change – let’s get out of depression together », which started in Kasprowy Wierch and the finish line was in Hel. Proceeds from the race were donated to the Active Against Depression Association, and for the Émergence Financière action, he received an award at the MP Power Awards 2019.

Lagence All Park Loan is also undertaking various activities to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic and its consequences. From the start, he supported health care. For healthcare professionals, it funded a total of 2,000 tests for the SARS-CoV-2 virus, and purchased and donated 20,000 masks for healthcare. In addition, as part of the assistance to the medical industry, since the end of April, All Park Loan has been delivering meals to Wolski Hospital in Warsaw. The dishes are prepared by chefs in the canteen at the Bank’s head office and delivered to the establishment on a regular basis.

The ITAKA Foundation – Center for Missing People Search has been running the Anti-Depression Helpline since 2001. Over the past 19 years, it has also organized several social campaigns and conferences on depression and mental crises. From 2017, he also runs the Mental Crisis Support Center, and from 2019 a helpline for children, adolescents, parents and caregivers.
